LE POULAILLER

After helping out some friends to move into their new appartment in the heart of the 11th district of Paris between Place de la Republique and Place de la Bastille. They were so kindly to invite me to have some dinner around to get back on forces again. We checked out on our phones the restaurants around in the Neighborhood and we picked out ” Le Poulailler “. Why that restaurant? Because we thought it had a funny name which means the Chicken Birdhouse. It is called that way because the cook has more then 300 ways to cook eggs and the eggmenu is changing almost every midday of the year. Not to forget mentioning that the Cook has worked in the very famous star restaurant ” La Tour d’Argent “! Now his way of thinking was delivering good food for a reasonable price (15 – 20 € plate). The owner is a very friendly Rockfan so you might have a dinner with some good oldschool rockmusic in the background. It has been one of my favorite places for French food ever since. Not only for the excellent food but also for the warm feeling you get when you are inside like as being at home. While you are surrounded by the overfriendly staff that is not scared to sit next to you to have a talk.
